Engineering Contest

Submit your engineering design solution for a chance to win an epic trip to Queenstown for two!

We create garden art that moves in the wind and we want to see how you would bring to life our latest designs! There are two designs to choose from; or you can submit an idea for both designs for double entries to the contest! The prize will be awarded to the contestant with the best engineering solution/s, and the winner will be announced on June 20th, 2022.

We are a New Zealand company based in Wellington, the windiest city in the world and we create garden art that moves in the Wind. Beauty and the Wind pieces are sold worldwide through www.beautyandthewind.com and on Amazon in the USA at www.amazon.com/beautyandthewind as well as a selection of garden centres.

Here at Beauty and the Wind, we have a tonne of awesome designs in the pipeline with some amazing new pieces being launched in 2022. We are ready to expand and are on the hunt for talented engineers to contribute to our team. We are running this competition for two reasons. 1) To help bring more of our ideas to life and 2) To see if we can find talented engineers that are interested in working with us on an ongoing basis with paid work.

Beauty and the Wind Ltd has the right to use any of the intellectual property provided by the submitter for commercial purposes regardless of whether a submitter wins the competition or not. Submitters will not receive financial compensation for their intellectual property other than the competition winner who will receive the competition prize outlined below.*

*All expenses paid trip to Queenstown includes return flights within New Zealand to Queenstown, two-nights accommodation for two people at an agreed-upon date within 2022, breakfast at the hotel and $100 per day for two days to cover lunch and dinner.
