Product Questions
Are Beauty and the Wind products made to go outdoors?
Yes! Our high quality and durable designs are made for the outdoors.
Some designs do require more shelter and this is highlighted on their product page.
In extreme weather we do recommend you bring your design undercover to avoid damage.
Do you design your own products?
Yes we do and we also stock a curated selection of products from around the world.
We dream up our Beauty and the Wind Original Designs at our workshop in Wellington! Bringing them to life is a fun and adventurous process - see more here.
We stock other amazing wind designs from around the world to increase the range of products we can offer to our awesome customers.
When shopping on our store you can use the filter tool to choose from our original designs or curated designs.
Will my design come ready to display?
Your order will arrive with all the components that is needed to display your piece. Depending on which design you have ordered some assembly may be required.
Need somewhere to hang your design from? You can purchase one of our Kinetic Art Hangers to display your design on.
Do I need to assemble my design once it arrives?
The majority of our designs require some assembly once they arrive to you. This is to ensure that your design is not damaged during shipping and reduces shipping cost and carbon footprint.
We have a video tutorial for each of our products to walk you through assembly step-by-step.
How do I care for my new garden design?
Every now and then giving your piece a clean will keep it looking fantastic. We recommend using a soft cloth and some warm soapy water; handsoap or dishwashing liquid works great and you do not need much. Dry the piece with a microfibre cloth for best results.
We recommend cleaning your pieces once every season.
Can I send my order as a gift?
Absolutely! Our designs make a beautiful and unique gift.
If you would like a personal note to be included please let us know on your 'order notes' when checking out and we will be sure to include this. The order notes box is present when you click on the bag icon at the top right of your screen.
Will you restock my favourite design?
Missed out on your favourite design, and now you really want to see it in stock? Don’t worry, we continuously restock all products, so keep an eye out on our website for when they will be available again.
You can also sign up to our newsletter to receive our latest releases.
Do you offer wholesale discounts?
Yes, we offer wholesale discounts to our retail store partners. Please contact us if you are interested in learning more about our wholesale offering for your store or project.

Where are your products made and why?
Most of our products are made in China by our supply partners. Some of our products are also made in Bali. Our Rainbow Butterfly is made by hand in New Zealand by us. The origin of each design is indicated on its packaging.
We have a close relationship with our suppliers and work with them on a daily basis - as well as having visited them in person.
Our suppliers are experts in their fields and are extremely skilled at what they do, which is why we have chosen to work with them.
Shipping and Delivery
Our shipping partners are NZ Post, Posthaste and NZ Couriers. All orders are tracked.
How do I track my order?
Once your order has been shipped you will receive an email to let you know that your parcel is on its way. Within this email is a link to track your package.
How long does shipping take?
Once your order has been sent:
New Zealand Orders: 1-3 working days.
Rural New Zealand Orders: 2 - 5 working days.
Australian Orders: 7 - 15 working days.
International Orders: 10 - 20 working days.
All orders are sent with tracking from Wellington, New Zealand.
How much do I pay for shipping?
New Zealand: $7
New Zealand over $150: Free
Rural New Zealand: $13
Australia: $10
International: $20

The Magical Wind Dragon may incur additional postage fees due to the large package size.
Can I change my shipping address?
Yes! We can change the address that your order will be delivered to as long as it has not been shipped yet. Please send us the new details and we can change this over for you.
Please note: If you have provided an incorrect address, and the package is delivered there, we are unable to retrieve it so please check your address carefully!
What happens if my order gets lost?
Sometimes our courier partners experience delays. Please track your order to view the location of your parcel.
If you believe your package may be lost please contact us and we will launch an investigation.
Please note:
- Once your order is with the courier, any issues need to be investigated by the courier company. We understand delays are frustrating. Please be assured, we will always do our best to get the issue sorted as quickly as possible for you.
- We guarantee delivery to your chosen address however we do not cover lost packages that have been taken after successful delivery.
Do you ship overseas?
Yes, we ship all over the world!
- Shipping costs $20 NZD for international orders.
- Delivery takes between 10 - 20 working days to arrive.
The Magical Wind Dragon may incur additional postage fees due to the large package size.

Can I return my order for a refund?
Absolutely! Contact us within 30 days of your order being shipped to begin the process. As long as the product is unused and undamaged we offer refunds on the full price of the product. We do not cover the cost of shipping.
Please contact us to start a refund process.
Can I exchange my order for a different design?
Yes! Contact us within 30 days of your order being shipped to begin the process. As long as the product you are exchanging is unused and in its original packaging you can return it to us and we will send you a different product of your choice.
We do not cover the cost of shipping and any price difference of the new product needs to be paid.

Refund Information
In the unlikely event of an incorrect or faulty item we will offer a full refund or send you a new item, whichever you prefer. Please contact us so we can help you with any issues you may have.
Pre orders
What is pre order?
A pre order is reserving your favourite design! Pre orders exist because of one of these two reasons:
- The design is completely new and there will be some time before it is ready to ship. In these cases you will often get a special pre order price and be the first in the world to own the design!
- Due to popularity the design has sold out and by pre ordering you are reserving the next available one.
In both cases we specify the date that your pre order design will be sent from our workshop in Wellington, New Zealand.
When will my pre order arrive?
The shipping date of pre orders are always specified on the page of the product you have chosen. This varies depending on the design.
Shipping updates are sent via email to all pre order customers.
Payment
What payment options does Beauty and the Wind offer?
- Card - all major cards accepted.
- Paypal
- Afterpay - your purchase will be split into 4 interest free payments, payable every 2 weeks.
Bank transfers are also possible and we offer over the phone service if you require it. Please contact us and we will be in touch to help.
How secure is your payment?
Your privacy and security is our highest priority. We use Shopify Payments as our payment provider; which is an extremely secure and highly encrypted system designed to protect customers and also hold merchants accountable. Shopify payments is used by some of the largest and most reputable brands in the world.
How do I use a discount code?
Simply head to the checkout, where there will be a box for you to enter your discount code in - make sure to click ‘Apply’.
Only one discount code can be used per order.
I forgot to use my discount code!
Never fear, the opportunity hasn’t slipped away! Simply contact us before your order has arrived and we will be happy to help correct this for you.
What currency is the store in?
The pricing for our store is in New Zealand dollars (NZD). However it is possible to change the currency on the very top right of the website on desktop and in the menu on mobile.

Where can I purchase a Beauty and the Wind Gift Voucher?
Want to get someone you love an amazing garden decoration that moves in the wind, but you're not sure which design will tickle their fancy?
Purchase one of our Gift Vouchers here to give the gift of choice!
How do I use my Gift Voucher?
Simply head to the checkout, where there will be a box for you to enter your gift voucher code in - make sure to click ‘Apply’.
Only one code can be used per order.
What happens if I don't use the total value of my Gift Voucher?
No worries, there is no need to spend your whole Gift Voucher in one go. The balance remains on to be used another time, but it must be used before the card expiry date.
Valid for 12 months from date of purchase.
What happens if the item I want to buy costs more than my Gift Voucher?
The Gift Voucher can be used up to its value and the remaining balance can be paid with another payment type.
How long are Gift Vouchers valid for?
For 12 months from the date of purchase.
What happens if there’s a balance left on the Gift Voucher when it expires?
The balance left on your voucher will expire.
